Online docs - alternatives to MS Office

Online docs are alternative to the Microsoft’s proprietary Microsoft Office. Using this tool, you can view all the files that are commonly accessed through MS Office or Open office. Google docs, Zoho are some of the examples. Of all the online documents’ tools, Google docs and Zoho are most famous. Though Google docs lately entered into this field, now they are ahead of most of them. All these online docs provide the facility of sharing, collaborating and synchronization. The good thing about them is, one can create the files and others can simply modify them without downloading them to your computer.

These are mostly used by the project managers while making a project. This helps them in editing a file while discussing with the co-workers and clients. These documents can be accessed from your Gmail or any other Google applications because Google has closely integrated all these applications with rest of the other tools. You can also use them as a place to store your important data or the data that you want to use at multiple instances without carrying it physically. Google docs can also be saved as normal files into your computer and can be accessed with MS Office, Open Office or some other tool.
